Live Streams on Halotracker

5. January 2012 by ShavedLycan13 Comments

In case you have been living under a rock and hadn’t noticed, Halotracker is a great place to hang out and watch Live Broadcasts of people playing Halo and other video games. There are currently over 80 HTR Broadcasting Partners for you to enjoy. So now you are asking yourself, “What is a HTR Broadcasting Partner?” Well simply put, it is someone who promotes HTR to their viewers within their stream and in return we promote their stream on the site.

So what are some of the new and great features on HTR that you cannot find on any other site? Since everyone and their mother seem to have a Twitter account, we figured we should incorporate that into the streams. But how did we do that? Not just 1 way, but 2 different ways. The first is pretty basic; you can read and keep up to date with the Broadcaster via their Twitter feed right alongside their stream. The second feature is what I consider to be one of the best features we have added, the Tweet button. Now when you are watching your favorite broadcaster, you can let all your followers know they should come and check out the stream. With a click of the button, a tweet will automatically be generated with the stream link and broadcasters twitter account if they provided it.

You want more, how about the option to watch and chat in 2 streams at 1 time? Let’s say 2 of your favorite streamers are both live and you want to watch and chat in both streams, but you don’t want to hassle with opening 2 windows or tabs. If they are HTR Broadcasting Partners you can watch and chat in both streams from the comfort of 1 webpage. You even have the ability to switch back and forth between the HTR site chat and the stream chats without missing out on any of the action.

You want more still? How about the ability to watch 4 streams at one time? That’s right; on Halotracker you can watch 4 different streams at once within 1 webpage using the Quad View feature. So the next time you want to watch each players view for an entire team of 4 or anything else, you can do that via Halotracker.

Keep your eyes open for new features and Broadcasting Partners. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact me on HTR and let me know. Also, if you are interested in becoming a Broadcasting Partner we are always looking for High Quality and Active streams to add to the site. The first thing you need to do, if you haven’t already, is join the site and then read the How to Become a Halotracker Broadcasting Partner thread for all the details.
